Protecting Your HTC Touch Pro

Are you using a case or cover for your HTC Pro to protect it from drop, bump damage, etc?

I purchased one of the clear crystal cases from eBay.

Clear Case - HTC Touch Pro - Link fixed

I was afraid it would cause a problem with the sliding mechanism, but it actually fits perfectly. At first the slide was a little rough, but I found a clear piece of plastic on the backside of the phone that I did not even know was there.

I tried one of the black rubberized cases, but it was a little thick so I switched to the clear. I am thinking about losing the case and just spending the $7 a month for the protection plan.

Re: Protecting Your HTC Touch Pro

The cases are nice...but they tend to let little pieces of dust get inside. And, if you don't clean the case daily or every couple of days, the pieces of dust act like grains of sand eating away at the finish of the phone case.

Re: Protecting Your HTC Touch Pro

Seidio is the best case you can buy for any phone bar none! http://www.seidioonline.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=2759

I have had the rubberized hardcases on all of mine and my wife's PDA's for a few years now and the phone always looks new even after a years worth of use! They are not cheap, but they are made here in the US and are built very well! I would recommend getting the clip/case combo as it allows the phone to mount with the screen inwards on a cusion of velvet out of harms way!

I looked at the picture on ebay and it looks exactly like the type of case my niece has on her iPhone. She carries her iPhone in her jeans pocket or throws it in her backpack - and has no screen protector on it - just this type of case. The phone still looks in perfect shape - I can't believe her screen doesn't have the slightest scratch on it.

I got the protection plan (the first time I've done so) - due to the price of the phone. I have left my cell phone on top of my car as I drove out the driveway - sending it flying onto the cement . That phone survived, believe it or not - very scratched up, but not broken. Somehow I don't think the Pro is going to be that sturdy.

Re: Protecting Your HTC Touch Pro

I had my BestSkinsEver applied, pretty good, except the screen part, kinda gives you a... well, little weird looking but hey, it's protection.

Also got the clear case for the TP as OP mentioned too... lol talk about a proection overkill.

Just saw that on Engadget, too bad their guarantee makes them sound like they're selling the fountain of youth.

Re: Protecting Your HTC Touch Pro

Is the op case the one where the part covering the screen flips up to uncover the screen?
