Registry Edit keeps reverting back to original - Please Help!
 

I changed the Current Operator Name in the registry from Sprint to my name, (so it shows my name instead of Sprint in the right corner of the top curtain) but it reverts back to Sprint...sometimes it will change back after an hour or so, sometimes it will only take a few minutes. I used Total Commander and just changed the registry that way if it matters.

(HKLM\Software\State\Phone\Current Operator or something like that!)

Does anybody have any idea why it would revert back?!?

I thought it might have been linked to me using the automatic wallpaper changer application, but it did it even after I turned that off.

Any help/ideas would be appreciated...I am a bit of a newbie at all of this!

There's an app around here called "personalizer" it will change the carrier name. I'll see if i can find it.

Do you know if this application makes any changes on it's own? I'm always leary about putting something on that will change something else (since I'm new to the whole PPC thing!)

It looks like in one of the pictures that it puts the name on the top left , mine is on the top right with the date on the top left - think that'll matter?

nope, the only thing it changes is the carrier name.

Installed Personalizer and like a few other people here, it has made my Picture Mail quit working.

Gonna have to find a different way to do this I guess because no Pic Mail isn't a good trade for having my name instead of the carrier IMO.

nevr had that problem. check over at xda or search here for a program called opmon. that does the same thing.

I been searching for OPMon using the search feature, and it's only pulling up this post, oddly enough.
