sms glitch
 

i can almost produce this problem over and over. you select a recent caller that you want to txt. then you slide open the keyboard and start typing... then next hting you know, the contact screen pops up like you're trying to locate a contact. you hit cancel and there's your half written text message.

has anyone noticed that bug?

Yeah I've noticed the same thing. Its annoying, and it only seems to be while text messaging. It happens to me no matter how I select the person to text, even if replying to a recieved text message not just ones selected from the call log.

mine just started doing this, though even if i select the xt and im looking at the threaded msgs and i open the keypad to type it goes to landscape mode then contacts or landscape screen.

Doesn't happen for me, just went to recent calls and hit menu>send text...slid out hard kb and it worked..

mine goes to contacts or settings.
what config you all running.
i have custom icons and carbon theme on mine.

The custom icons from Tsowens thread have been known to cause some pop up issues. Make sure ur icon files are not corrupt and reinstall

there are some people that are having this issue and dont have custom icons though

Its a known "glitch". its been mentioned several times. Its not a bg or a glitch, its how TF3d works when you slide out the keyboard. Here is what i posted in another thread:

"its been posted a few times. as far as i can figure, its just the way that TF3d changes screens when you slide open the keyboard. if you notice, when in landscape mode, typing on the hw keyboard will start dialing/smart dialing. Also, if you are viewing an SMS in the tf3d preview tab and you slide open the keyboard, it just gives you the default landscape screen.

My solution has been to either tap to open the message, or hit reply in the menu and wait to see a cursor in the actual message window before I open the keyboard. Takes an extra 2 seconds, but works flawlessly at that point."
