Backing up with Sprite or whatever

Ok, so I am completely new to WM phones...what is this backing up stuff, I am kind of confused? Does it back up JUST the contacts or is like Ghost where if you mess something up you can just simply restore back to the where you were at the last backups...

Does it restore all programs, reg edits, contacts, pictures, etc...?

Sharp dude, you are correct, it backs all your isht up including registry tweaks and all either to the sd (this case you wouldn't wanna back up sd contents like pix,music...) or to the pc. A must have my man...check out spb back up too, they have a free trial too.....

Yes, I haven't seen a free backup program that backs up everything. I use Sprite and works good. A lot of people on here use SPB Backup and have good things to say about it also.
