Would you return your touch pro if...

Very strange question, just humor me

If you could get a new one, would you return your touch pro if it had lost a tiny bit of chrome off the corner? Keep in mind, the phone works flawlessly. Seems like a no brainer, but, a few friends that have bought "newer" touch pros have had ALOT of problems with the software etc. Also, their battery lives are WAY worse than mine.

So would you get a new phone just so it has no visual defects (compared to your present one as described above) and run the risk getting a "buggy" phone OR keep the same phone you have (runs great, battery life is better) and just deal with the tiny area of chipped off chrome.

Again, retarded question, but im very curious what other phone fanatics would pick...

Re: Would you return your touch pro if...

keep the phone personally, im also lucky enough to have one of the good running ones. i was having trouble with overheating battery and fast drain of the battery, but i just changed roms and the problems went away. phone is perfect now. keep the good one if you got it!

If you don't mind my asking, what ROM are you using? I am having those issues myself.

Thanks

Re: Would you return your touch pro if...

I had this happen with a 6700.
1st one ran great, so of course it got scuffed up.
The replacement sucked, slow buggy, and yellow screen.
I ended up swapping out two more times before I got back to where I was originally.

Pain in my rear...

I say keep the working one so long as it IS working for you.

Re: Would you return your touch pro if...

i agree with the others....if you have a unit that you think it running well, keep it...screw the scuff on the chrome (i understand what you're saying though....it would annoy the crap out of me too.

that said.....if its not running well enough to make you wonder if its a dud....take it back. (make sure u try some custom roms first to make sure its not the rom). noone wants to pay 600 bucks for a device thats not doing what its supposed to be doing.

Re: Would you return your touch pro if...

I would prefer a 3rd poll option...

Wait until a new unit Hardware revision is introduced to the market, that fixes alot of these problems. Even if that is a new phone (Touch HD for example) a year from now... But I am hoping Sprint and HTC release a revision of this phone in the next few months... I feel like we are early product testers and Sprint rushed HTC to get their special designed phone on the market...

I guess I figure if I scratched it, I should keep it. Look at all the hazardous waste in the world, and a person has the gaul to want something nice and shiny at the cost of the environment. And who do you think pays for all this insurance abuse? We do!

I like a little 'character' on my phone. I treat mine fairly well but don't treat it that well. After a while the fingerprints become all smudged and it looks good still lol.
