I got a chip at the same area. I'm still up in the air about replacing it since the battery is a bit screwy and maybe a newer unit will function better.

Exactly the situation im in. Im withting the 30 day return period for best buy (I also have insurance). I actually bend one of the battery connectors but fixed it myself. Im waiting till the next generation of touch pros come out, then I might get another one (through sprint).

Re: Would you return your touch pro if...

dont haveto worry bout insurance or anything, call sprint ATS, the cracking crome is a known issue on first build and they will eticket it for free. I ended up swapping becasue of cosmetics, the new one I got is a lot sturdier and I am much happier with the replacement

Edit: Sprint ATS = technical support?

this is my situation, but do you wanna risk getting another TP that doesnt work as well as your present one? For those who bought from best buy, other members have noted that they are being given "returned" touch pros, not new ones.

I have not been given a returned TP from BB... I sure do hope this rumor of selling returned phones does not spread...

Here is my longer post on the subject...

Adavanced Tech Support, It tell them to look under known issues on the phones, ATS and TS are two completly different depts. As for the newer builds, my swapped one has a 10.21 build date and runs like a dream

Re: Would you return your touch pro if...

I have no idea how it happened, but I got a small, somewhat curved scratch on my phone that I noticed about a week ago. Ever since then it has been bothering the hell out of me. Since I'm still within the 30 days Best Buy will take it since it occurred during "normal usage" right?

Actually, I just remembered all the boxing/wires/etc are at my house at school and I am now home for the holiday. Any chance they'd do a straight phone for phone swap not changing anything else?
