Just dropped my touch pro and scratched it. How can I get it replaced?

So, YOU dropped the phone... YOU stepped on it and busted it... and now you expect SPRINT to replace it for free? Use the insurance that you purchased and spend the $50 to replace it... Once you drop 50 bones for it a few times, you will stop forgetting its in your lap.

If the store suspects foul play, you will be scrutinized and picked over each time you have a claim in the future...

this information about going through a sprint store is incorrect, if it is only cosmetic sprint stores don't have to even honor the exchange, technically anyways, it's up to the units manager.

and THIS information IS correct, sprint will document in the system if they suspect anything, so like he said spend the money, you can argue and lie, but once they get the phone and it was suspected of foul play, they will/can find out and your account will then be charged $200 dollars a larger ammount compared to the $50 id say

You only pay $50 if the phone is lost/stolen or has water damage. The chrome is cracked from the fall so that may qualify it for a replacement. I'll see on monday.

Perhaps the chrome being cracked is covered, don't you think they will see the road rash on it and tell you SOL anyway? ESRP does not cover accidental damage, thats what the insurance side of the TEP plan is for. Personally I wouldn't risk having the tech at the Sprint store tacking notes on my account for trying to bork my phone to score a clean replacement. To each their own of course, I just feel better knowing that the user is aware of all risks associated with their actions. Good luck either way!

No, they wont. To begin with the phone needs to be in atleast 2 pieces to qualify for a replacement. If he just says he dropped it and it looks scratched up, theyre going to test it and if it works they will return it as-is.

If he does break it and take it in and they agree to get him a replacement, they will not give a phone from their inventory. I have no idea why, but I was told by 3 different Sprint stores at different times that when a phone is replaced through insurance, it needs to be ordered. The phone will be delivered to the store and they will call you when it arrives.

Wash it in the washing machine. That's what my wife did to my Pro. Now I sit here waiting for a replacement but at least I only have to pay 50 bucks.

I just got a chip off the chrome as posted on my other thread. Have anyone of you return the phone because of this issue? There was no foul play on my end. I take care of my phone....
