volume keys

when you press the volume keys, does the body slide away from the keyboard. I find this annoying and makes it more difficult to use thse keys.

Re: volume keys

No this doesn't happen to me but it may be because i hold the phone with my right hand and use my index finger to adjust the volume.

Re: volume keys

My only slides if I don't hold the front face of the phone. I don't think the phone was designed to press the volume buttons w/o supporting the face.

Re: volume keys

yeah, mine slides a bit because I seem to have to push the button rather hard to get it to register. I've gotten to where I push it once, then adjust the volume from the screen (which is a whole different story since my screen responsiveness is very inconsistent).

Re: volume keys

They should've put the volume buttons on the other side.

Re: volume keys

I suspect they were considering one hand operation and it would seem to work better on the left side. However, the keyboard then should slide in the opposite direction.

Re: volume keys

It depends on which hand you're holding the phone in and doing it one-handed. Right hand, your fingers are underneath, palm is supporting the right side of the face so it doesn't go anywhere when you push the buttons with the tip of your fingers.

Left hand, unless your fingertips are on the face supporting the right side, you hit the volume button with your thumb and it causes the face to slide. Kind of bad design for lefties like myself, but just have to get accustomed to it, rather than having your fingertips on the body only.
