Should YouTube skip with TP graphic card?

Ok, I thought the Touch Pro had a dedicated graphics chip. That being said, I don't understand why watching the Grinch (through YouTube) in high quality on the TP plays jerky.

Are there any optimizations for this Graphic Chip? Do we know much about the card right now?

ps (my internet connection is 1900 kb/s, so I know this isn't the reason)

Thanks

seems to be a very common issue, still not a sure fire way to fix as to my knowledge, i have a mogul and also have the same issue, so its more the application rather than the device

Re: Should YouTube skip with TP graphic card?

I'm hoping for an update from HTC... but ever since I've installed the ATI D3D Driver from XDA, the glitches in video is a lot less, to none.

Re: Should YouTube skip with TP graphic card?

I wish video playback was smoother, but I hope there will be a fix soon.

Re: Should YouTube skip with TP graphic card?

So, is the video chip in the Pro an ATI chip?

I remember my Dell Axim x50v had an ATI chip, and I practically never had problems.

I think I still have the cab on my pc or phone, I'll need to get on it and upload it here... After this driver was installed, TF3D was definitely more responsive and some of my video playback was smoother. It seemed to have utilized the hardware more efficiently to where the overall performance was better. IMO of course...

Re: Should YouTube skip with TP graphic card?

Here you go...

Just to let you know, I do not assume any responsibility if this makes it slower or anything else. but I still have this on my phone and prefer it to stay there. Opera is more pleasant as well IMO.

Are you watching with bluetooth on? I had the same problem when trying to use the youtube player and a bluetooth headset - it would even skip on low quality. Then someone here pointed out the fact that for whatever reason the youtube player and bluetooth don't mix well. Works almost perfect with a plug in headset.
