Would you return it?

I'd like to say hello to the forum since this is my first post.

Anyways, I recently purchased the Touch Pro. This device has my buy in. Love it and can't imagine having any other device at this moment.

However, the past two nights the handset has locked up overnight while on the charger. I must then soft reset the device for it to work.

Yesterday I went to send a text message using the keyboard. The handset froze in landscape orientation and no matter what I did, closing and opening the slide out keyboard, TF3D staying in landscape. It was garbled and looked weird.

I did pay full price minus $75 upgrade eligibility fee. In my opinion this device is worth that but in my instance would you return it for another Touch Pro or just keep it?

I've had it a week and a few days so I'm well within my 30 days.

Thanks in advance.

I would try a hard reset and see if that fixes your issues. Also, make sure that its not some additional software you installed. If it continues to freeze after you try what I mentioned, then return it.

Honestly, thats your personal opinion. Lots of people have been having lots of weird issues with their Touch Pros. Some people see the flaws as being normal and accept them, others return the phone in hopes of getting a newer better piece. You can either jump on the exchange train or just give it back and get a phone that works properly until they fix all the issues on the TP and release ROM fixes for the old ones. Hope that helps...

I did a hard reset when I received it. The phone is stock with no added cab files or the such.

Well if it freezes again, I would hard reset it. Its most likely a software issue which will be corrected in a future rom release. You have to make the decision though. I would a least try the phone for another week or two. That way, if you decide to return it, you would at least get a newer build date (don't know if that really matters).

Re: Would you return it?

Thanks GF..

Other than that the phone works flawlessly. This is my second WM phone and by far the best of the two. The TF3d is great for so many things. With me for instance I am a Pro Photographer and love how I can upload my work on the card and showcase to my clients through the slideshow. They love how I can flick my finger over the screen to bring up the next shot.

Great phone. HTC has won me over for life!

I would exchange it. You paid x amount of money for it and it should work. Yeah, you might get a few glitches here and there as with any new phone, but it should be usable out of the box. If you had customized apps on it, I would say do a hard reset and let it be. But you are running all stock right? I would do one last hard reset, wait a few days and see if the prob has cleared, if not, exchange it for a new TP. Shouldn't have to wait for a new rom to be usable.

i agree with previous poster. reset to factory defaults no added programs or roms. run it for a couple of days if it still acts weird exchange for a new one. if not add your apps one at a time giving a couple days inbeyween until uou find thr one causing problems.
