Best Buy wont let me upgrade on sero account!!!
 
i was trying today to be able to upgrade on sero at best buy but didnt let me does anyone know if they let yall doit?

I got mine at Best Buy on a SERO plan, They had to call sprint to set it up because sero plans dont show up on the computer. But if they call it can be done.

They have to call it in usually. Just tell them to call Sprint.

Here are some suggestions from another forum. I have not had to do this myself, so YMMV:

1. Find a BB that has the phone in stock
2. After the BB employee tries and fails to use the Snap (BB) system, get on the phone and call sprint and ask for retentions! Do not let them transfer you anywhere but to retentions! Retentions has the ability to access Sero accounts and add new phone with other companies ID numbers. Do NOT tell CS this or they will not transfer you to retensions. Tell them you have had enough and that you want to talk to retensions.
3. Once you have retentions on the phone, explain to them that you are at a local BB and that they can not access your SERO account from their system.
4. Tell retentions that you woud like them to active the phone using the Best Buy store activation ID. This will allow Best Buy to get credit for the activation even though Sprint is activating the phone.
5. From this point the BB employee will need to have you fill out a manual contract and you should be good to go..

Wow, that's really drawn out. Not saying it won't work, but to each his own.

The two times I got activated at Best Buy they either:

A. Knew why they couldn't enter into SNAP and just called Sprint or
B. Asked me before they tried SNAP if I had a special account, I said yes, so they called.

Just get a competent salesperson and you should be good.

Well yes, but all that is dependent on that last critical detail. I think this was for people who run into a personnel ](*,)

All BB's use the same upgrade system with Sprint.

Either you have to do it manually (as detailed earlier) or you have to upgrade via Sprint Telesales.

they are real lazy at best buy. I went to two of them before they setup my account with sero. I kept the phone for about 25 days and decided to bring it back due to all the problems and the guy said you can't return it here and you have to go to the store you bought it from because sprint will call to confirm you returned it. I then called retention and they said they have no idea what he is talking about. So now im off to a 45 minute ride to return it at the original store.

I would not recommend best buy for buying phone. get it from sprint. save yourself a headache.
