Insurance types

Hello-

I'm not sure where to post this...

I got my TP at Best Buy, and they told me they offered their own insurance (against accidental damage but not loss) for $10. And then there's the Sprint TEP for $7 which covers loss but not damage.

Which is the best route to go?

I've got a few days left to decide what to do. I don't like being uninsured even a few days with a phone this expensive.

Thanks.

-TM

Re: Insurance types

There's also the option of both, but $17/mo seems overkill. :/

Re: Insurance types

TEP here, Sprint is really easy to deal with if/when a problem arises.

Re: Insurance types

TEP is very good. Just go with that.
The deductible if you break the phone is only $50.

Re: Insurance types

The way that the Best Buy employee explained it to me when I purchased my phone was that they offer the same insurance as sprint basically but you don't have to pay the $50 deductible and you can replace your phone at any Best Buy store.

Re: Insurance types

An extra $3/month to get a new phone on demand instead of a refurb? Or does BB do refurbs too?

Re: Insurance types

i thought in sprints contract that they can replace your phone with refurb or an entirely diff phone if need be, meaning you break your tp and they dont have any new or refurb on hand you get a $5 phone that also may be refurb.
