Re: Skyfire now WORKING on the TP!

True VGA would be nice, but I'm happy to have something to display normal flash content

It works, but it doesn't feel or look like they've optimized it for the Pro yet.

Re: Skyfire now WORKING on the TP!

Am I the only one who, for regular web use, prefers Opera? I know Skyfire is more versatile with plugins and such, but I hate the fact that you constantly need to download "more" with it. You know, at first all you get is a fuzzy little screenshot, then as you navigate you have to download clearer/closer sections of the page. I find that very distracting. Dragging also has no acceleration, so it's horrible to navigate a long page.

On top of that, the other night on my 6800, I couldn't log into PayPal with Skyfire - it would keep returning me to the main screen asking me to login AFTER I entered my password and pressed Submit. I did this so many times, PayPal locked my account and I had to call and explain what happened. I finally had to just use PIE.

IMHO, the latest Skyfire builds have been so much more buggy than the ones from say, 3 months ago.

skyfire uses a proxy, I personally wouldn't trust it for secure transactions... just my $.02

Your not the only one. Was a super big fan with Skyfire when I had my treo700wx. With our HTC, it sucks. Hopefully they will make the app more native for VGA devices.

Re: Skyfire now WORKING on the TP!

I have been testing for a few days now as part of the alpha test team, Skyfire has come a long way in just a few short days. This build works very well on the Touch Pro I am very excited by the progress. Enjoy

I could have sworn that Opera uses a proxy as well. Is that not the case?
