Anyone successfully add their own location in the TF3D weather app?

I tried a few methods and so far none are working My nearest location in the weather app is 60+ miles away!

Here's one of the methods I tried:

Re: Anyone successfully add their own location in the TF3D weather app?

I have the same exact problem. I tried a couple methods, the first method (using the weather DB editor) failed as it couldn't do something with a lock. The second method I tried was to use some other program that adds locations from locations.txt, that didn't do anything. Third try I hacked around in the registry, but as soon as you change the reg values to point to a city not in the database, it restores the city list to default. This is really annoying.

Okay, thanks to Nex, I got it working. I had to use the 1.1 modified version of the app from here. Follow the directions there too. Basically, download the cab, install, reboot, add city(s), go to weather tab, and add your locations.

Not a problem, though it was Nex who clued me in on which version to use. I jsut assumed 1.2 would be better than 1.1, but 1.1 was what was needed to get the job done.

thats the Accu weather link for Neptune, NJ
http://www.accuweather.com/us/nj/nep...u=1&traveler=1

Yeah but its not 32 degrees, its 50 degrees and if you click 5 days forecasts it will show 32 degrees for everyday and say unknown.

Hum.. still working out it, going to try another local city.

Try putting Neptune in all caps. I was always told to keep everything caps, idk if it makes a diff or not.
