Uninstall Opera

I just got a new replacement handset because my other TP was having some problems. I want to re-install the Opera_2649 that I had on my previous phone.

When I click on the CAB to install, I get the screen that says the old version will be uninstalled, so I click 'ok'.

The next popup I get says "The previous version of Opera Software Opera 9 cannot be removed..."

Is there a way I can remove the old version of Opera? Has anyone else had this problem?

i posted a thread about this for this same reason but havent found an answer, just made an OEM Package to get around it :/

just found out how to do it(: use a 3rd party task manager and kill the Opera9.exe process then run the cab of the new build 15613 i reccomend haha. Also i'm using MightyROM 4.16 and there is a nice Task Manager cooked into it
