"1" icon will not go away!!

i cant get the "1" over my mail/pic mail button to go away i have deleted everything and it is still there! anyone know how to cure this

soft reset?

used the stylus to soft reset with no luck

Try this:
Start>Settings>Phone>Services
Select Voicemail and get settings button
Now click on the Clear button.

its the actuall touchflo button that has the 1 on it, it happened right after i did the active sync turn off tweak

Check your outlook mail account. The same thing happened to me and when I went to my outlook account there was one email on how to use windows mobile and stuff...also if you installed shozu you get two emails that hide in your outlook. Check the account and delete them.
