Re: The light by the Speaker

I have read that its not a light like on the mogul, but the light sensor for the backlight.

Re: The light by the Speaker

I'm interested in this as well...

I thought it was a little LED light but... since it didn't blink i just thought it was some auto sensor or light sensor thing...

i have no idea though.

Re: The light by the Speaker

this has been discussed a few times before.. it is a light sensor. not a led. it is used to adjust backlight and lets the phone know it is flipped to mute a call.

Re: The light by the Speaker

i was pretty sure it was a light i thought, i know there is a auto sensor somewhere, mabye that is what it is, but go to settings->sounds and notifications->then notifications->and for Event select something like messeging and you will se the flash light option.

other than that, ithought i saw a video somewhere where it was a green led in the earpeice. but since i cant get it to work, idk.

Re: The light by the Speaker

the light around the dpad is for notifications... theres no reason for a light to be by the earpiece... has to be a light sensor. try using a program that uses the sensor and cover it up to see if it makes a difference?

Re: The light by the Speaker

That IS the light sensor. Get G-light or something and try covering it, you'll see.
