Your youtube quality - Choppy Video...

I set my you tube to high quality. I am in a good evdo coverage area. The video is very clear, however the frame rate is rather poor. It is downloading fast enough and there is plenty of buffer. The video seems rather choppy. I have no other programs running. Once the video gets done downloading it seems to play much better. Does everyone's run like this or is something up with my phone? It's not terrible but enough where you can tell it's pretty choppy.

mine is HORRIBLE.. I too have little to NO programs running when I try to use youtube. I have been in the best of service areas and even when I wait for the video to completely download - it is still off-sync or choppy.. I havent had a video run well at all using the youtube ap. I am very disapointed so far with this program.

Though my device in general seems to lag. I might hard reset it in a few days to see if that helps.. but I did a hard reset the day I got it due to the jackass' at best buy using it prior to selling it to me.

Mine is also not very good. I wouldnt call it terribile but no where near as smooth as the iphones app.

Mine is pretty solid. Even when I am in my store at the bottom of the mall, it's a pretty good signal.

I wouldnt necessarily say that. My friend has an iphone and mine was way more clear than his, playing the same video. Well mine was set to High Res though..haha. I asked if he had such setting but he just shook his head sideways. He was pretty impressed with the video quality on my phone. I even rubbed it in more by hooking up my phone to my TV. LOL. But to answer this thread, my youtube plays fine.

Good quality on mine, and I'm not in the strongest coverage area either. Please keep in mind that different videos on there will look worse or better depending on their source, how well they were compressed, etc.

the question is how can you get your email links to youtube open up to the built-in youtube program? compared to HTC Streaming media the separate youtube app rocks.

Mines looks really good on my phone. I actually did a comparison with a friend of mine against his Iphone as well and like the other poster said he was impressed to say the least. The video is sharp and really clear compared to most other phones. I never even changed any settings so i'm guessing the video quality can actually look a lot better if i tweak it a bit.

Mine is great when selecting high or auto. Just tried it for the first time today...quite impressed with the quality!
