I wanted to bring back the classic skin I had on my Mogul so I decided edit the highlight.png and STYLE1.png. I don't have a fancy paint program so I just used Microsoft Paint. All you have to do is double it's pixels. You should end up with 7620 x 40 pixels. It won't come out 7620 exactly at first and you will end up with some blank space at the end so just shorten the lenght to the end of image till you get to 7620. It doesn't look too bad but when I can get access to a computer with a better program then It should look better. For now it's good enough.
If you want to do it yourself, see attached zip. In there you will find the original QVGA version. Edit it then copy it back to \Program Files\TouchPal\Resources folder in your phone. It's probably safe to make a backup of the original files so you can restore it later if you dont like what you did. Below is how mine looks. Also included in the zip is my version if you wanna try it. And also the original VGA version.
Here's an update for Black and Grey. See attached file. Unzip replace over your existing Preference folder. Please make sure to back up the original Preference folder so you can re restore if you want to go back to original.
