Biggest difference I found/realized after using Orb for the last year with various devices/configs, is that it is critical that your host computer (the one running Orb) is fast enought to transcode the video. Once that's up to par, you can get very good quality even with the video out cables...

Any special settings or addons to TCPMP I try on mine and it comes up stating it cannot play so I am stuck using WMP.

Make sure you copied the codecs to your windows directory. If not, you'll have to do a search...
