Unlimited Call History?

I have searched through the forums trying to find how to get unlimited call history, like I had on my Palm. I needed to look up a phone call I made last week Tuesday, and it was not in my history. I needed the information, but I guess I have already exceeded my 300 limit length of my Call History.

I see that there is the registry tweak with CallHistoryMax set to 65535, but mine is already set to that amount. Is there any way to get more than the stock 300?

Re: Unlimited Call History?

It's an option in either Advanced Config 3.3 or Diamond Tweak.

In either case i can go back to nov1st in my call history.

One of those two programs should have what you're looking for. However, i don't know if you'll be able to retrieve history that's no longer there.

Haha, well it depends on what all you use your phone for.

For me, I don't have a landline, and I have free incoming, so with that, my call history can become quite big. Top that off with it having incoming calls, outgoing calls, and missed calls, it's not a surprise that it can grow pretty fast!

Re: Unlimited Call History?

I have SERO 1250, but I only use less than 300 daytime minutes to non-sprint people. I actually use 34,000 minutes in 3 months on my last Palm Centro when I retired it, thats an average over 11,000 minutes per month. I call sprint people a whole lot. Thats what I get for having a long distance girlfriend. My call history goes back 6 days now. I do mistakenly dial numbers a WHOLE lot on this Touch Pro though. Somehow I havent gotten the hang of 'not accidentally' dialing numbers when I am looking up contacts or searching through my history, or my texr messages.
Even so, when I cleared out my call log, it only freed up less than 1 MB of space, and my call log was archived since I first got my original Centro in Nov, 2007. It was EXTENSIVELY large, and it still did not use that much space. I am surprised that WM limits the call log, with Palm OS having the ability to keep the file size so small.

Re: Unlimited Call History?

I have the same problem... with the limit of 300 on the Touch Pro, there is slowness when there is an entry in the call history. It seems that touch pro takes avg 5 - 15 secs to add the last call into the history, because of this, I have to keep on deleting all the calls on weekly bases... Remember, TITAN had the same issue, but it wouldn't freeze the phone for that long.

Sadly there is no registry hack or anything at this time, I looked. Only can delete the call history to freeup space. Sorry dude.

Dashwire will backup your call history and a whole lot more. It's backed up my call history to last March. Best of all, it's free...www.dashwire.com
