Ummm...because it happened, more than once actually. The progress bar wouldn't complete during the test and the browser hung. Quit the browser and couldn't launch it again. End of story, end of my visits to the site. If it works for you, fine, pay my words no heed.

Re: what kinds of speeds are you getting with the pro?
well i just tested it from PIE and got 1.17 Mbps 3 times in a row, then 1.02 Mbps, then back to 1.17 Mbps
so then i used dslreports.com and got 940 and then 953 kbps so using pie it's almost the same.. im not gonna try it on opera seeing how u guys got those crazy numbers but thanks for the site <> u should use it in opera to fool nonsprint using friends tho lol... especially if you find out their browsers display more realistic numbers.. then u can ask them to do it first then show them your speeds Last edited by orlandojumpoff; 11-21-2008 at 04:34 AM. |

Browsers that use a proxy server, such as Opera Mini and Skyfire, will have erroneous readings. Opera Mobile 9.5 on my Mogul appears to be accurate. Tethering may give a better measurement.

agreed for tethering.. i still like to use pie to test sometimes to see just how slow it is in a certain location compared to how it is at home where its pretty nice

What is "PIE"?
EDIT: Nevermind...still need to get used to this "P" thing. Last edited by Nagual; 11-21-2008 at 03:01 PM. |
