best video player for HTC touch pro?
 

Hi, is the windows default player what everyone uses or is there a better player than can handle more file formats?
Second question, anyone know what the limits are for this device in terms of bitrate for video/audio and maximum resolution?

I heard kinoma is good. haven't tried it yet. I just use WMP and the HTC program for audio. Video on a such a small device isn't my thing. Plus, it drains the short battery life even more.

yeah i ended up purchasing kinoma play, orb on it is pretty great. It handles what ever i have thrown at it.

I use the free tcpmp and also core player and mort player depending on my mood.

Kinoma is the best media player out there in my opinion.. It lets you play YouTube clips straight from the program and your also able to log into your account to access your favorites and playlists... It works with most of the video and audio codecs out there... It also supports VGA so it looks great on the TP screen.. And you can use it to view pictures also... I use the free version..

Kinoma is quite good, I have had the pay version for quite a while. KP has the absolute best Youtube playback period (better than skyfire)

There is one charisteristic of it that is very very annoying to advanced users however. When you install KP, it steals ALL your file associations without asking permission.

I absolutely DID NOT want KP to be the default for every single jpeg etc & had to use Resco Explorer to undo the damage done & reset the file associations to the default.

I have come across a handful of unsupported video codecs with KP & although it works with ORB it does not support live TV streaming from ORB.

Does Kinoma play wmv protected files? I transfered over a digital copy version of Nightmare Before Christmas but it stutters during playback on Windows Media Player.
