Razr cords work with the pro

Don't throw away your razr stuff just yet. Tonight, like a noob, I figured out the usb connection my old razr used will fit, and work, inside my htc touch pro.

I had a car charger for my phone and didn't even know it, not to mention the home charger and extra usb cables.

Pretty common knowledge at this point, but some people don't know this...

I use my BT Headset charger [Moto] as a backup charger.

Don't you love USB? Everything should have it! Hence the name [UNIVERSAL Serial Bus]

hey not to burst ur buble if you look at the output rating for a razr its about 2-500 ma....the touch, mogul and other pda require 1000ma or 1a ......so in other words it takes double the time to charge and not to mention the heat issue which would lead you to buy a new battery sooner.

you can get a 1a usb car charger for like 3 buck

Well, I just checked my moto charger and it's saying 800MAh... not too shabby!

This is kind of a known standard. All 5-pin mini-USB devices use the same standard. I recognize that this wasn't known to you, and you're hoping to help, but this will get buried so fast that you'd be lucky if even one other person who didn't know see this.

I don't think a Razr's cord, which plugs into a PC's USB port, has any kind of current rating for itself. A 5-pin Razr cord, or an 11-pin HTC cord, will be able to draw equally as much current as the PC's USB port will allow.

Also, a plug-in AC adapter does indeed have a max current rating, but that doesn't mean the device actually draws that much current continusously.

If I can re-use my existing USB cords and chargers, well, that is like free.

Well I charged my phone last night with the razr charger, and the phone was not warm to the touch at all.
