Why don't other apps use the accelerometer as well as Kinoma Player? - Page 2

Guys, I love the program. Does anyone have issues with very slow loading from picture to picture though? I can breeze from pic to pic with TF3D but with Kinoma, it has to load or buffer every single picture. Also, to stay on topic, I tried having "teeter" open in the background but that didn't help the accelerometer issue.

Sprint TV was actually the only program that seemed to work for me. YMMV.

[Edit: Interestingly, after that initial process of running Sprint TV before starting Kinoma, the orientation changing now appears to function without anything running in the background. Strange thing is that it never once worked for me before that. Just glad it's working now!]

It seems to be something unique to Sprint TV. Opera doesn't work, and another user reported that Teeter didn't help either.

Also, after a soft reset I was back to square one. It seems for now you have to open Sprint TV each time you launch the program (although you can close it immediatley after). I'm sure a more elegant solution will come along soon enough, but for now it works.

This must have something to do with how Sprint TV communicates with the accelerometer... After Sprint TV interacts with the accelerometer, something happens that enables the accelerometer to work with Kinoma... I bet Sprint TV communicates with the accelerometer in a way that is different then Teeter...

Reminds me of the early Mogul days when we had to prime the GPS with Google Maps, Live Search, etc. before launching some of the more finicky GPS nav programs.

What's nice about Kinoma is that they do update their software on a semi-regular basis and that you can update the program from within it... No need to install a new .CAB or link to your computer...

yea, you loose it also if you close out kinoma and then try and start it up again.

So everytime you start kinoma you have to start SprintTV as well.
