Email disappearing?

I have notice my email on my phone is disappearing, I'm not sure this is a BUG. Have any of you notice it. I have not seen any thread regarding this issue. Maybe it is just my phone. Any input will be greatly appreciated it.

Have you checked to make sure you're in the inbox of the e-mail account? I've thought all my text messages disappeared when I was just looking at the deleted items.

Check your settings for that account - it may only be set to retain or display a certain number of days' worth of mail. I think mine is set to 30. Since it's IMAP that's not usually a problem because the actual mail messages are still on the server, just not in my phone.

Or make sure that if you are retrieving your mail from another location besides the TP you have that account set on "Leave Messages On Server After Read" or it will delete them from your server, thus erasing them on a sync on your TP.

My school account is set up as pop account, which seems to disappear! But, with my yahoo account using imap it's still there... I check all my setting and it seem to be the same on both.. idk :/

My work email is also POP. When I use my work computer to download my emails, it removes them from the server. My phone is set to leave a copy on the server, but my work laptop removes them from the POP server. The next time my phone checks my email after my laptop does, it removes the emails from my phone. Doesn't bother me because I have a copy on my laptop and it keeps my phone inbox clean.

I was wondering about this too. I use Incredimail on my laptop and it's set to remove messages from the server after a certain number of days. However, whatever is already in the Incredimail inbox stays. Is there a way to set up the email on the Pro to stay in the inbox even once it's erased off the server?

I can't recall a way, but the issue makes sense now.

Maybe if there is a way to store the emails but remove the association with Outlook... but that kinda defeats the purpose, ya know?

You could also try filing emails into different folders so that you don't delete them.

Me email has also started disappearing. not all of them go away. The other day I received an email through my work computer that forwards my email to Gmail. It was larder then the initial download so I click on get everything button. I tried to show the email to someone about an hour later and it was gone...it is still on my gmail account but does not show up on my phone. Emails from before and after show up. I did not delete it and I was in my inbox.. weird.
