Bluetooth file transfer - says receiving files but not stored. No prompting.

Sprint HTC Touch Pro.

I tried to receive some files (pictures and an MP3) from a friends phone. WM will pop up and say "receiving data" and when it's done the phone will make a noise but no file will be saved anywhere. It does not ask me if I want to receive a file or where to put it. It just pops up "receiving data" and that's it.

I poked around in my documents and did not find any new files. I searched with Resco file exporer (2007) and found the files but they are stored in Aplication Data\Volatile. I navigate there and find no files, but folders like XMEInst01ACEA20-8CAF0FAA.

I even turned on file sharing in bluetooth. I can send him files. I can view his whole system when using bluetooth exporer and transfer files that way both directions. Although his phone will report a 600K file is 200mb.

Whats going on? How do I fix?

After you get the little noise alert that the transfer is complete there will be a beam icon on the task bar at the top, click anywhere on the task bar and select that icon.. You wil have the option to save/accept the file then.

I noticed that icon. However when I taped it the system status screen comes up. That icon isn't an option there.

turn that system status screen off then go click that icon. I believe it's under SETTING>SYSTEM>TOUCHFLO. It should be one of the 3 boxes!

That seems to work ok. My friend is not here right now so I transferd some templates from my dads phone.

My friends just said reciving files.

My dads wants to establish a connection and use a passcode and this and that.

Whats the diff?
