Accelerometer not working with phone calls?

I can no longer get my Sprint TP to silence an incoming phone call or mute a phone call by placing it face down. I know that this function worked fine about a week ago but no matter what I do, can't get it to work at all (haven't installed any new programs since then either). The accelerometer does seem to be working fine though within Opera Mobile as it has no issues switching between portrait and landscape modes. I have tried recalibrating with the G-sensor app but still no luck. Anyone else experiencing this and/or have a solution other than a hard reset?

Try a soft reset than redo the g sensor and see if that will fix it.

Re: Accelerometer not working with phone calls?

I;ve also heard there is a way to make it auto answer a call when you hold it up to your ear. Not sure how to do this though....might be possible with a program like Gyrator 2. i'd definitley be interested in that.

Re: Accelerometer not working with phone calls?

Mine is not working either...I also remember putting the phone face down once and it worked but every since then it has not worked...Someone told me that its not the accelerometer that its the light sensor..I have nothing blocking the light sensor either...So I have no idea what can be the problem..

Re: Accelerometer not working with phone calls?

Open your registry editor and navigate to:

\HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCSensor\GSensor

Change the PhonecallMute DWORD from 0 to 1.

Also, go to \HKLM\Software\HTC\PHONE

Make sure the FaceDownMuteRing DWORD is set to 1

That will turn it back on. I love this feature too.

It IS suppossed to work with the phone out of box, in that if the phone rings, and you turn it face side down (screen facing surface)....it should mute the ringer.
