Tweak backlight sensor?

I want to use the auto backlight sensor, but I find it brighter than it has to be. There must be a registry setting to lower the sensor/brightness as an energy saver?

There is an application called Glight ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?p=2838344 ) that you can replace the stock auto adjust.
