Active Sync problem

Can anyone tell me why is the Active Sync always running ? Whenever I check running programs it is always there . Doesn't it drain the battery ?

Go under your Start Menu/Settings/Personal/Phone/Services/Time Synchronization and hit "Get Settings" button....then make sure the "Time Synchronize with mobile network automatically" box is unchecked

While this method does work

"Start Menu/Settings/Personal/Phone/Services/Time Synchronization"

I have a problem detecting my device on my computer using active sync and connected to the PC USB , it wont recognize my device, it says either A) cables are not plugged in or B) you are not using a Windows PPC

tried on various USB ports on my PC to no avail
Might try reinstalling active sync 4.5 from the software included on the Touch Pro CD when i get home, any suggestions?

Go into "Connection Settings" and have the USB box checked to allow that type of connection.

I found this setting in Start/Settings/Connections/USB to PC/uncheck "Enable Advanced Network Functionality"

Under it says " Clear this check box if ActiveSync does not recognize the device"
Have to wait until i get off work to test and see if that works!

Mine is always open. I tried the "Start Menu/Settings/Personal/Phone/Services/Time Synchronization" and it still stays open.

Sounds good but I am a bit nervous after my first bad tries installing S2U2 (first 3rd-party program I tried).

I just did this on my phone, but the question I have to ask is why this requires Activesync? I have a mogul and a 800w and neither of them had this problem when I had time synchronization turned on. I like that feature because I travel a lot and don't want to have to go in and change it every time, but if it's going to make Activesync run continuously then I don't want it on.

Works like a charm. I used it on my TP when I frist got it. Running Juicy8 now and don't experience this issue.
