Okay I am confused I am trying to change out my Start Menu Icon with a custom one following the directions from http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=43111 and over at XDA http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=426264 according to the post I am to swap out my shellres.192.dll.0409.mui problem is I only have a shellres.192.dll and a shellres.dll.0409.mui and that's it.

Edit: Install "Icone demarrer.cab" it's just 2 registry key. Then change the shellres.192.dll.****.mui file to shellres.192.dll, using TC move the edited shellres.192.dll file into /WIndows and soft reset.

ok i am still lost. i only have a shellres.dll.0409.mui not a shellres.192.dll.0409.mui. And no matter what i do, i cannot copy/rename the file shellres.dll.0409.mui or remove it off of my device. I was able to change my start menu icon by editing the shellres.192.dll, but no matter what i do, i cannot change that Ev icon. Please help!

if your trying to change start text, tap on my or tsowens sig link for his tb thread and complete instructions are there. edit: your problem will still be solved there, didnt see it was a icon problem. answer is still there.
