Led for notification

Is there a way to edit when the LED (around the enter button) lights up. I want to to light up when i have an email or text but the options under sounds and notifications are greyed out. Thanks.

Re: Led for notification

I found this fix in this post and have used it and it works: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...46&postcount=1

Should be included in the Touch Pro Essentials thread. I looked but couldn't find it.

The LED is the round white ring on the d-pad. The thing you see in the earpiece is a light sensor.

That's the light sensor. I wish it did have an LED in there though so it would be easier to see when I have a new email, text, etc.

You can go into the settings and the notification options are no longer grayed out. You can set the time for the light to flash. Without the hack, it seemed the light would stop flashing after a few minutes. Now you can set it for other periods of time in the drop down menu.
