Making sure phone calls ALWAYS get through

Hi, I've noticed a few times when using one of the data applications that phone calls have been missed. Oddly enough when I test it the calls interrupt the net or whatever, but not when other people are actually calling me.

On my old phone there was a setting (obscure) to make sure data use was always interrupted - is there some setting I missed or hack on the TP to guarantee this? Thanks.

Goto Start > Settings > Phone> then scroll down to DDTMode and click get Settings.

Yes, there is a setting...

Under Settings/Personal/Phone...

Check all the settings there, one of them is for Data if my memory serves me, my phone is not with me at the moment.

This is what I think you are looking for.

"Send voice calls to voicemail during active data connection" is off. Problem still persists...unless it's just due to a weak signal, is there anything else I can adjust?

If you are 1xRTT mode, calls will always go to Voicemail when your data connection is active. In EVDO, calls should ring through. Are you not getting calls while in an EVDO connection?

I checked my registry settings according to that thread in the Diamond forum, and mine has the correct #777 entry.

you may have to get your msl and change how frequently your phone polls for calls. if your unsure what im talking about a quick search may help...

note. it will affect your batt life

...or, to be at least a little more help ful, search for Slot Cycle Index. This fix has always helped my HTC devices dramatically. I set mine to zero.
