Powering on?

Ok, tried the search, but searching rules are hard for this question. I am getting my touch pro next week, but a friend of mine has his now. He received it from Telesales yesterday and it would not turn on. Had him charge it overnight (first pulling the battery and then replacing it). This morning it still will not turn on. Anyone have any ideas? The screen turns a slight blueish color, it vibrates for a second, and that is it. Much like my mogul does when I reset it, but nothing on screen. Any help will be much appreciated.

Re: Powering on?

Sounds like a defective device. I'd return it if I were him.

Re: Powering on?

Has he tried a hard reset yet? If that doesn't work then I would also say it is a return candidate.

Re: Powering on?

Will try a hard reset at lunchtime. I was thinking the same thing, but being I do not have mine to tinker with yet, I figured someone else might have had a similar issue.

Re: Powering on?

Just to let you all know, the hard reset did not work. Tried connecting to a PC to see if the PC saw it, nothing. Tried various other things, all failed. Needless to say, friend is pissed, but he will get over it. Think I will try to order mine through a store instead. Might have to pay a bit more, but if this keeps up, it will be worth it.
