Internet Sharing Question

I did the internet sharing hack where you delete the extension file. Sometimes my internet speed is awesome but then a lot of times it's really slow. Help?

reception doesn't seem like the problem. it has full bars most of the time and the speed just varies drastically

Something different about the Touch Pro compaired to my mogul is that the signal bars seem to be based on 1X and not EV. My mogul would register the EV unless I was in a call or sending a text message, and then it switched to the 1X signal reading. So if you are in an area with strong 1x coverage, and weak EV, then your signal reading will be misleading. I have almost no EV signal and a full 1x (I have an Airave).
