Upgrading with Sprint? How much did you pay?

I have been thinking about upgrading my one year old Sprint Touch. I went to the Sprint store and they told me if I wanted to upgrade, it'd cost me about $500??
They said that since I only had the Touch (and new contract) for one year, I only qualify for a $75 savings off the full retail price of $579. That means I miss out on most of the instant savings and the rebate.

This seems ridiculous to me. I have been a Sprint customer for over 5 years and have gotten my wife, both of my parents and my SIL/BIL to sign up with Sprint, but Sprint is going to treat me worse than someone who never gave them any business at all.

So for those of you that have upgraded, how much did it cost?

Re: Upgrading with Sprint? How much did you pay?

i was 2 months away from my 2 year upgrade and ended up paying $390 after tax at best buy after their 20% deal. Got a $70 renewal credit though. Yeah it's a screwy deal unless you've been there for 2 years or get lucky with retentions. I didn't mind paying that much for mine because they upgraded my moto Q to a mogul about a year ago for Free. I figure i will have this phone for atleast another year. Now if they come out with a Tegra phone in 6 months i'm going to be pretty pissed.

It cost me about 390 and i was only a year in. I too got mine at BB with the 20% off, and it all worked out. I dont mind paying a 90 dollar premium to not have to wait for that extra year. The only thing I didn't like was sprint forced me to change plans to get the phone, which I am still fighting with them about.

So for those of you that bought at BB, you were able to get the TP for $390? Maybe I just got a bad Sprint store rep? Or maybe I should try Best Buy?

239 at BB after the 20% and a 2 year renewal. I actally only had a 1 year account but I got lucky and had a messed up contract date.

Re: Upgrading with Sprint? How much did you pay?

I guess I won't be upgrading afterall. It would probably be cheaper for me to cancel my Sprint account and pay the cancel fee and then go to ATT and get an I-phone 3g. I don't want to have to wait another whole year to upgrade my phone.

Re: Upgrading with Sprint? How much did you pay?

I paid $550 including tax for mine on official launch date. Been with Sprint for over 3 years and had Sero for a little over a year. I think i'm going to return it.. $550 is way to much for a phone.

edit: Did some talking and got it down to $325 including mail in rebate.
