Hi Def and Slingbox
 

95% of everything on my DVRs is Hi def, does this mean I need the sling box pro HD or will the sling box SOLO suffice. It's not like I need hi def on my 3 inch TP screen or even 20 inch monitor, I doubt there would be much quality difference on such small screens. I would want the hi def wide screen layout though.

Slingbox users - Recommendations?

For the TP it wouldn't really matter though for your 20" monitor if you have the bandwidth to support it you would see a big difference.

how well does the slingbox work on the TP... i was considering getting it but i was a little skeptical about the quality of the video and whether or now it would stream the tv stations without any breaks in the video.

oh and i have the sprint cdma version btw

Works great. As long as you have an Evdo signal you will not see any breaks...

Slingbox with HD inputs don't straem in HD anyway... it's more of HD pass through so you can keep your HD tv/box, the slingbox downscales it anyway.

So your saying the picture quality is the same, the hd slingbox just allows me to stream my hd dvr recordings? Makes sense, it seems the band with needed to stream anything close to high def would be beyond only the fastest connections. Does it downscale based on connection speed - like my cable modem would stream a better picture then my TP.

On a 3 inch screen, even some youtubes look high def :drunken:
