Htc Pro Wtf?? Volume Issues I Cant Hear Anything

I didnt like the on screen keyboard on the diamond so i switched it for the HTC pro. This thing is POS. Is there any setting that i'm overlooking??
The volume is at max and i tried to make a call, but i could not hear anything. It was extermly low. is anyone having this issue?

I'm thinking to return this crap and keep the diamond which has solid build quality compared to this flimsy, bulky overpriced junk phone.

someone pls provide some details if this is a common issue..phone is unusable in this state.

try a hard reset first, and if that doesnt work, get the fix in the link below.

Try taking the protective plastic off the screen... it covers the ear piece... i was actually in the store when someone came in and asked the same thing... haha...

LOL, that reminds me of an incident some years ago when I worked at a Harley Davidson dealer.

Some dope came in & wanted to "return this POS face-shield" he had purchased because it was all blurry. I took it from him, peeled off the protective film & asked him "is this any better??"

He left pretty embarrased........

Can you guys post the build date of your phone and tell me if you tried the audio fix cab file?

Slide out the keyboard and press ##786#. I am trying to find someone who has a phone with a build date of 10/16 that got the audio cab files to work.

I used both cabs and it did not change the volume at all. I also tried the Diamond Tweak application which has a volume booster and equalizer but that didn't make a difference either.

There's a thread with users and their build dates here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=41724

Not sure if that will help you out at all...

There's also a couple other threads regarding the audiopara and cab:
