just the windows folder? or the windows/rings folder?

cause i stated above that i tried that and i still cannot get it to work..

You can also place it in: \Application Data\Sounds
That works for me.

you have to cut from your memory card or wherever you have it stored then paste it into the windows folder

You can put them on your storage card as long as you put them in a folder named My Ringtones. I have mine in this path:

\Storage Card\My Documents\My Ringtones

You can also put the sounds in the root of your storage card and they show
