internet issues

did anybody have any issues connecting to the internet when they first got the phone. i can get on fine when using wifi, but if i try to connect to sprint i get an error saying "could not locate remote server"

anybody else get this?

i just turned the phone on prob 2 hours ago... so i don't know if it may be a time issue.

EDIT: before you do the following, change your roaming options to sprint only

i think most of us have had this issue. here's how i fixed mine: start -> settings -> system tab -> Update Profile

you may need to do some other things, but you'll need your master unlock code for that.

i've heard some people say that it said that and still worked. if not, go to the thread posted above and follow the directions. you'll need to call sprint and ask for your master unlock code first. once you make that change, try the profile update again. make sure you change the roaming to sprint only as well.

yes, and you may have to ask for the "master unlock code." i've asked for my msl and the rep has no idea, then i say master unlock code and they understand.

I was on the phone for about an hour today with Sprint trying to get this issue fixed until I saw the same link that TMZ posted earlier in this thread. While the lady was giving me instructions to do something else (that I knew wouldn't work), I followed the directions and it worked perfectly. I ended up telling her exactly what I did so she could not waste other people's time in the future. Thanks to Wideawake for that quick fix!
