ICS 'connect" grayed out?

When I start the ICS by clicking the icon in the program folder, the "connect" option in the lower left is always grayed out, regardless of the method of connedction (USB/BT) chosen. Why is this??

Re: ICS 'connect" grayed out?

if the "ForceCellConnection" registry entry is misspelled it will gray out the connect button.

It can be found in the registry here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Comm/InternetSharing/Settings

The default should be "Phone as Modem"
Most of us have changed it to "Sprint" so that we can tether without Sprint knowing it.
