How to play streaming files on Touch Pro? (asx in particular...)
 

I heard it was possible to play streaming radio stations and stuff on WinMo 6.1, but I can't seem to figure out how..

I want to play http://fresh.fm/media/audio/FreshFM.asx
but when I try to play it, the file errors out. When I look at the error details, it just says to look at the error details again.

I tried opening it with Windows Media. Is there a different app I need?

I also try navigating to http://fresh.fm from my phone, then opening the link, but that didn't seem to work either.

Is it possible to do? I am currently not using Wifi, just the Sprint data network like normal.

The TP has a builtin streaming app called Streaming Media. It's in the app list. Haven't tried it, but that's what its there for.

i'm using the windows media player. i click on link and it sends it over to wmp.

I use GSPlayer2 from Green Software. I've used this on my last 3 PPC's and have always been happy with it. Has lot's of options, an EQ, and (did I mention) it's FREE!
I play the stations I want in WinAmp, then save the shortcut to my PC, then save that to my PPC. The touch Pro connects and plays.

Did it work??? Im using TCPMP version .72RC1 but i think you might need the wmv plugins.

Sorry went out for a few drinks for Halloween :)

I tried it with Coreplayer 1.2.5 and worked like a charm!!! WOOT!
