Re: Official Touch Pro App Request Thread
Something I've been looking into today with no luck ...
App that can toggle or shift kinetic scrolling in WM6.5 so we can drag-select text or multiple items in older apps ... I've noticed doing certain tasks in some of my older apps can be a pain now in WM6.5 without drag-selection ... It could be bound to a HW key and do something like what nueLight does for the shifting effect ... Or it could be a toggle app that you put a shortcut to somewhere that's easily accessible (WA3 button or some kind of pop-up launcher, etc ..) And unless I missed something today, it would probably have to be a piggy-backing touch driver or something of that sort ... Maybe the author of TouchResponse could look into this he knows about piggy-backing the touch driver .. |

A FREAKING FINGER FRIENDLY MEDIA PLAYER, that works like the tf3d music player but works when tf3d is disabled. nitrogen, s2uplayer, the other windows version player, they all suck or don't do one function, like play playlist or something.

At least one app that is included in the new OS (notepad.exe) has "solved" :P the problem in the opposite matter by disabling kinetic scrolling alltogether ... I find this very annoying but also encouraging ... If we can figure out how it is being disabled we can reproduce the effect .. Unfortunately I have already searched the registry for some type of exclusion list containing "notepad.exe" and found nothing ... If anyone has any insight, please PM me or post here, I am more than willing to do the coding if we can figure out how to toggle kinetic scrolling programatically... Edit: On a side note that I haven't mentioned yet, The ability to toggle or shift the kinetic scrolling support would also hopefully allow us to use kinetic scrolling in any APP (even notepad.exe and the like) and shrink our WM API scrollbars to a few pixels to use them as more of an indicator of position rather than a scrolling interface ... This would give us much more screen real-estate, and IMHO, a much sleeker looking GUI ... Last edited by volDeus; 05-17-2009 at 08:27 PM. |
