I dont know for sure, but there has to be some registry setting. Use PHMregistry editor and do a search for dring light or something, might get lucky.

If its anything like the Mogul then it will take a new driver to have that option.

EDIT: I tried NueLED and it appears to work on the Touch Pro at least partially. I haven't tested it completely, but I have made it turn off the charging LED. You can also redirect the Bluetooth or wireless (wifi) to the charging, charding done or notification LED. This will make the d-pad disk light up when you have either of these enabled.

Use it at your own risk and make sure you reboot after installing for it to take effect initially.

I just tried NueLED as noted above and it seems to work for me as well.

Am I high, or does the VZW Touch Pro not have any indicators other than what's behind the bottom hardware buttons and D-Pad? There's what looks to be an LED in the earpiece, but I thought that was the light sensor.

You are most likely high.

It is a light sensor. Not just high, but on some serious crack....
