getting phone to blink when you get a new sms or email any way to do this?

ok, with my mogul i could set it to blink when i got a new sms message or email. now with the touch pro there is no way to select this as this option is grayed out in the menu.

is there ANYWAY to get the touch to blink, as if its charging, etc when you get a new text or email? i hate how the phone lights up for a text now...and with email the only way to get notified for email is a sound, i get email constantly so i don't want this. any ideas?

Mine does this out of the box. If I get a voicemail, text, or e-mail, the ring of light around the d-pad flashes. There's even different patterns of flashing for e-mail vs text.

goddamn i can't figure out how to get this accomplished....before you could select what you wanted, now that option is grayed out for me and its driving me nuts. when i get a new text if the phone is sleeping it just lights up completely.

yep..thanks so much that fixed everything.

now, is there any way to disable the blinking light when the phone is charging? this is especially annoying in the car when charging with a car charger.
