Text box invisible letters with keyboard open
 

A weird issue that started happening with my pro is that on small text boxs (ie contact fields..etc) no text is visible when typing on the keyboard but if I close the keyboard the text shows up as I typed it. If im composing an email, txt message or any typing in a larger text box, this doesnt happen. Happens with the gps app too when typing in an address with the keyboard. If i use the on screen keyboard it does the same thing if Im in landscape mode (keyboard open). But within portrait its fine.

I thought maybe some of the tweaks I enabled in TF3d config might have done so i reverted them but its still doing it.

Anyone seen this? Yeah I've done a ton of soft resets and really dont want to hard reset again since i finally got all my programs installed and setup.

I had the same problem. Turn off cleartype. It doesn't work in landscape yet and causes that problem. soft reset fone afterwards and it'll be fixed.

Good to know, thanks! I am getting my phone soon and there are so many little things you need to remember to do once you get it to function smoothly. Wish there was an organized way to have all the important "must-do" threads together... Guess I will have to use the old fashioned "search" function..

Actually.. you can leave cleartype on.

The problem is if you are using a tweak program like DiamondTweak or AdvanceConnfig they have an option to force cleartype when in landscape.

When you check that option is when you will have the problem.

Uncheck that option and then soft reset, and you should be fine.

^you are correct thanks. Though i've just found it better to turn it off altogether as i dont see a need for it.
