Re: Where is the FM Radio?

It is possible only the software was removed. If that is the case then someone might be able to put it back in.

I really hope its just software, that was dumb removing it. I don't care for sprint radio.

Re: Where is the FM Radio?

I've tried installing the FM radio software. No go. Either the hardware really was removed, or some other low level hardware interface settings have changed. Would have been nice, but I'm betting the hardware was removed. Kinda sucks, but I'm still loving the Pro.

Radio software attached if anyone wants to dig deeper.

Re: Where is the FM Radio?

Wouldn't it say on the FCC site if it had that radio inside?

Re: Where is the FM Radio?

If I recall correctly, on the GSM version, the FM antenna was run through the headphone cords, so that the headphones had to be plugged in for the radio to work. I did a spot of research as well, and a thread came up over at XDA concerning this matter: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=439661

Yes. Do you still have a link? [Edit: I found the FCC documents, but saw no mention of an FM radio. However, on second thought I would imagine the FCC is only testing broadcasting radios within the device. An FM receiver may not be something that would show up in their reports. A quick scan through the documents for the US GSM version of the Pro didn't show any mention of an FM radio either, although I believe it does have the hardware.]

I was aware of that, so my testing was done with the headphones plugged in. Unfortunately I don't think it is a quick fix, if the hardware exists at all.

Re: Where is the FM Radio?

I have wasted enough time on this. I wish I had the FM radio functionality. I have read all the posts out there. It just doesnt work.. I hope the hardware is still there.

Re: Where is the FM Radio?

i think the stock headphones that come with the US version aren't the same as the euro version so mayhap it just takes the other version. I remember reading something about an extra pin in the euro usb headphones.
