I am on Charter as well and have had the same exact type of issue, but with my Motorola V9m and Sprint mail(I waiting on my TP to arrive, hopefully tomorrow). When checking email, it would sometimes just not see some new mesages I know are there, then suddenly show it new, an hr or so later. It would also almost always time out the first or second try, when checking for mail(even with push on), forcing me to repeatedly retry till it went thru. Same goes for sending. I always had a hell of a time trying to send something.
This is one of the reasons I decided to get the TP because I always thought it was the client(Sprint Mobile email), but now I'm wondering if it's Charter's servers. If I receive my TP tomorrow(according to the tracking, I should) and I am able to activate it this time(first one had bad ESN), I'll report back acfter setting up my email account.
