Thank goodness there's someone out there who has the same problem, I was beginning to think that either I was a text freak or that I had the _only_ TP with that issue. If hard resetting it fixes it, I'm doing so immediately. I agree, it's painfully slow with T9 on, and I've got that and prediction disabled everywhere. It still doesn't autocorrect i to I like the Mogul did or autocorrect either words.

I've only really installed Rescoe explorer, wmwifirouter, and a registry editor. SPB Backup just finished.

Do we lose any of the tweaks criticalaudio and company did if we hard reset?

Can we not do a hard reset from the settings? Clear storage? Does that not work?

My understanding the updates done by critical and crew were built into a new ROM and the pones were flashed. If that is the case then no, you won't lose the updates done after a hard reset.

Re: PSA: Hard-reset your Pro when you get it

Please forgive a newbie question. I got my phone from bestbuy and the guy there set it all up. If I hard reset, I assume I will need to enter whatever information he did originally. Can I get this information off the device, and then re-enter it?

I am having quite a few quirky problems with my TP and I'm willing to give a hard reset a chance.

Re: PSA: Hard-reset your Pro when you get it

Why would you need to hard reset a blank phone from the factory? First thing that happens when you power it up for the very first time is that it goes through installing Sprint customizations. It's basically hard reset (or never set) at the factory.

All that would tell me is that the phone was previously turned on and played with.

When I bought my Touch Pro from Best Buy, I had to wait for the Sprint Customizations to install before it was ready to be activated.
