Using the Phone As Modem with the USB cable

Has anyone figured out how to use the USB cable to use the PAM?

THanks for the replies

Tethering - tested and works

1. Edit the following regestry entries. Hard part is finding a registry editor, but they are out there:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing]
Extension="" Delete the "isext.dll" entry

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing\settings]
ForceCellConnection="Sprint"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing]
MaxCMCon=0

2. Start the Internet Sharing application.
3. Hit Connect In the Internet Sharing application.
4. Connect the Diamond to the Laptop/PC via USB
5. Done. No other applications needs to run on the PC/Laptop.

Re: Using the Phone As Modem with the USB cable

Yup. Use a regeditor and browse to HKLM/Comm/InternetSharing and delete the only key there (says isext.dll or something), then under HKLM/Comm/InternetSharing/Settings, either change the ForceCellConnect value to say "Sprint" or delete the key completely.

edit - Must type faster next time

Its as trackable as it has been in the past on the Mogul/Apache/6700 etc... aka unless your usage is through the roof, you will get away with it just fine.
